For many going on diets, the look for quick fix methods. And with the new low carb diet plans, many think the weight will drop as quickly as they put it on. But are low carb diet plans a good idea, and do they even work? Some argue that they do, others say they don't. Diets like the Atkins Diet and the South Beach Diet have caused a lot of controversy. "I wanted to lose weight really bad but I had no idea how to do so. I tried dieting on my own. I tried the cabbage soup diet; the eating only red meat diet; I even tried going vegetarian for a while. But nothing seemed to work. Then I heard about the low carb diet plans like Atkins and South Beach. I tried Atkins out for a while and it seemed to be working.
