Low Carb Bars
Imagine this: You're on a low carb diet, but one morning you wake up late and if you fix your normal low carb breakfast, you will most certainly be late for work. Or, you forgot to bring your lunch to work and you're too busy to go out (your choices are limited when you go out anyway). In either case, having a supply of low carb bars on hand can come in handy.
Low Carb Bars to the Rescue
In most cases, low carb bars have a lot of vitamins, minerals and protein. They certainly make a low carb diet easier. In fact, they can make it tempting to replace a lot of meals this way. But it's hard to find low carb bars that really taste that good enough to do that, which is good because it's not the best thing to do. Most of them are meant to be snacks anyway, and you really should get as many of your daily nutrients from natural foods as possible. That being said, here are a few low carb bars that haven't sacrificed flavor for low carbs:
- CarbWise Crispy Bars
- EAS AdvantEdge Carb Control Bars
- Post CarbWell Cinnamon Raisin Bars
Other kinds of low carb bars try to imitate candy bars. Some do it well, some--not so much. Some of the best are:
- Atkins Endulge Vanilla Creme and Peanut Butter Bars
- Z Carb Gourmet Dark Chocolate Bars
- Carb Watchers Dark Chocolate with Vanilla Cream
- Hershey's Low Carb Chocolate Bars
- CarboRite At Last! Chocolate Truffle Bar
Any of these will help you get past your chocolate fix at a minimum amount of carbs. What a way to get through the day!
