So, if you are on a diet, what you need are some good low carb recipes.
Low carb recipes are making a difference
Your best bet in following a low carb diet is to have an arsenal of low carb recipes and cook for yourself at home. Some of the restaurants offering low carb meals will even give you their low carb recipes if you ask. A great source for free recipes is the Internet where you will find many sites relating to low carb recipes. And they don't all have to be products of the latest dieting trend. A lot of ethnic food, such as Indian cuisine, is full of delicious low carb recipes that were around long before Dr. Atkins wrote his book. And because they are traditional recipes, you know that nothing had to be taken away from them in order to satisfy a low carb diet. The problem often comes when recipes that many of us love are manipulated to bring down the amount of carbs in them. In that case there is always something sacrificed to make the recipe or food suitable to the dieter. For many of these recipes, when the carbs go so too does a lot of the flavor and texture that you associate with the meal. So look for recipes that never had to be tampered with, but were low carb all along.
