	<description>Bad Carbs
When it comes to bad carbs, they often get a bad rap. But bad carbs can have their own good nutritional value. The term bad carbs should not be taken so literally, because even what is thought of as bad can have some positive effects on you and your diet. Depending on when and how you prepare your carbs, they can benefit you greatly. See a nutritionist and get his take on what kind of diet you should be on. Ask him specifically what kind of carbs you should eat and when and how you should prepare them.

Bad Carbs:
When it comes to dieting and counting carbs, you have to know what kind of carbs you need to consume and when. Bad carbs, also known as simple carbs, are the type of carbs you eat before or after a workout, or when you need a boost of energy. Eating bad carbs before a workout gives you that sudden energy you need to get through your workout. And eating them afterward helps you to speed up the process of healing torn muscle tissue. These are the carbs that break down quickly allowing such a process to take place. In that manner, they can be considered good carbs.

Good Carbs:
Good carbs, also known as complex carbs, are the type of carbs you need for a healthy diet. You should eat these carbs when you need sustained energy. That's why nutritionists suggest eating these carbs for breakfast. It gives your day a kick start until your next break or until lunch. Foods like oatmeal at the beginning of the day keep your energy level up until you have time to eat later in the day. The carbs take a while to break down, keeping you feeling full longer. But eating them too much can be a bad thing, and this aspect they can be considered bad carbs.
